“Clouds of insects danced and buzzed in the golden autumn light…”–Arthur Conan Doyle
Golden Light of Autumn
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had a small and quiet Thanksgiving with our family at The Turnaround House, and it was just perfect! Now the mad rush to get ready for Christmas starts, but I wanted to do one final autumn post before the winter ones begin.
One of the best things about autumn is how the sunlight has a golden quality which creates slanted beams and casts long shadows. As the days get shorter, the light filters through the leaves of the trees and reflects the beauty of nature as it slowly dies before winter.
One of my favorite parts of living in Utah is being able to enjoy all four seasons–especially autumn. It really is incredible beautiful, and I will miss it. We experienced our first snow of the season this week, so we say goodbye to autumn and welcome winter.
