How I Failed Election Day

Today is one of the most important days in our nation’s history–we are electing a new president of our country today.  It’s a big day in America and and unfortunately, I can’t participate.  I am so completely embarrassed to admit this, but I just found out I missed the deadline to register to vote.  How in the world does something like this happen, you might ask?  Let’s just say I’ve learned a difficult lesson.  Even though I dislike politics and both candidates in general, I realize it is a privilege and responsibility to do my civic duty and vote.  I wish I could vote today.  I’m embarrassed that I can’t vote today.

You can be sure I won’t let this happen again.

Make America proud, all of you smart people who registered to vote before the cut-off!
