Homemaking Is A Dying Art
A lot of households are two-income homes where both spouses work outside the home. Every once in a while, one spouse will stay home while the other works. Having been in both situations, I can honestly say it was harder for me to work full-time outside the home. All I wanted to do was take care of my home. Having two days of the weekend to do EVERYTHING never seemed like enough time. Everyday when I left for work, I could think of so many things I wanted to do to take care of my little farmhouse. It felt neglected to me–like it needed more time and attention. I’ve come to the realization that homemaking is a dying art. Sadly, people just don’t have time for it anymore.
Hire A Homemaker
Because I have such a deep love for homemaking and the positive effect it’s had on my life, I want to share my passion with you! I want homemaking to be something we are proud of. I want homemaking to be something we have time for again. If you’re a regular reader of my blog, then you know I will be offering three new homemaking services starting May 1. Hire A Homemaker is a new part of Creating Home that will feature styling services, interior design services, and a brand-new magazine called Wilma. For the styling and interior design services, there will only be one spot available EACH MONTH. That means if you have any interest in those services, you should sign up right away because the spots will fill up quickly!
If you’re interested in the brand-new homemaking magazine, Wilma, registration opens for subscriptions April 24. The monthly magazine will be emailed the first of every month (with the option to purchase hard copies coming SOON). The first edition went out April 1 and was my gift to you for FREE! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did creating it! In case you’re wondering about the name change of the magazine, I wanted the premiere magazine to be called Betty (you’ll have to read it to find out why). The rest of the editions of the magazine will be called Wilma (again, you’ll have to read it to find out why)!
Finally, May’s edition is almost complete, and it’s AMAZING!!! If you loved April’s edition, you’re really going to love what’s in store for May. One week until registration!!
