Is It Fall Yet
Fall is my absolute favorite time of year, and as soon as the Fourth of July is over, I start getting excited knowing it’s coming next! I drive Andy crazy because he loves Summer so much and wants it to last as long as possible. Mostly I just keep it to myself or share it with my girls because they love it as much as I do. I just recently finished a Halloween cross-stitch project I’ve been working on for a few years and I’m so EXCITED! I just want to know, is it Fall yet?
Legend of Sleepy Hollow
The cross-stitch project is based on a scene from my favorite Halloween story, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. It’s a panormaic shot of the Van Tassel farm and Ichabod Crane being chased by the Headless horseman as they cross the bridge. You can see a church and graveyard in the distance. These pictures aren’t the best because it’s a large project and hard to get the whole scene in. Plus the linen is very wrinkled, but you get the idea! I gave this cross-stitch to my Mom for her 70th birthday, and I can’t wait to see it framed and hanging in her home!
Wilma’s Halloween Issue
I hosted a Colonial Halloween Dinner Party last year that featured the story. I also designed a Headless Horseman Vinyl Cling that you can find here. Because Fall is my favorite time of year and October is my favorite month, I usually have so many ideas of what I want to do. This year with Wilma Magazine, it’s going to be so fun!! If you haven’t subscribed to Wilma yet, you really need to! Wilma is a homemaking magazine I started a few months ago that’s changed the way homemaking is viewed. You can get more information about it here.
Homemaker’s Guide To Fall Decorating
Finally, since Fall is next month, there’s a new Homemaker’s Guide to Fall Decorating that is so helpful! If you struggle with seasonal decorating, or would love to use decor you already have, get this guide. How many of you love Fall as well?
