Stocking The Pantry
Knowing that cold weather is on its way always puts me in a nesting mode of preparation. Just like the squirrels and other woodland creatures, I want to stock up on food and prepare my home as much as I can. Each Autumn, my grocery store has a case lot sale where cases of canned goods can be purchased at a discount. It’s a great time for stocking the pantry, and I fully line my shelves with as much food as I can store. It gives me a feeling of ease and comfort knowing that I’m prepared. It’s also a good idea to have enough food and water stored for every member of your family to last for 72 hours in case of emergencies. You never know when disaster is going to strike, or when your family might face financial hardship. Storing some food and water is always helpful.
