The last few days I’ve been looking up at the mountains and noticing how vivid and colorful the leaves are as they change colors. The sad part is that they change so quickly, and before you know it, they’ve already fallen to the ground. I went into panic mode because I really wanted to drive around and see them before they all fell. Andy and I picked a date to drive up to the canyon to see the leaves at their peak. We got more than we bargained for on our Autumn adventure, however.
Unpredictable Mountain Weather
It was sunny when we left Bountiful, but by the time we got to the top, it turned dark and moody (my FAVORITE Autumn days). The temperature dropped quickly to 30 degrees; it started snowing and hailing; and then the fog rolled in…..Remember this post? It actually happened!! Being in the mountains is so exhilarating yet scary. Things happen so fast, and the weather can be so unpredictable. I’m so glad Andy was with me because a short sight-seeing trip to see the leaves turned into a four hour trip of enduring what the mountain threw at us! I loved it and was scared at the same time!!
Have you ever had that happen to you? If so, I’d love to hear about it!
