Get Your Front Porch Halloween Ready
When my kids were little, we used to sing a Halloween song called, “Five Little Pumpkins Sitting On A Gate.” It’s a cute little song that always puts me in a Halloween mood. When I saw the picture above on Pinterest, it made me smile and think of that song. Now that it’s officially October, it’s time to decorate the front porch for Halloween using what else?! Pumpkins!
Over The Top Or Minimalist?
Although it’s not my style to go all out when decorating for the holidays, I really love it when people do! Whenever we walk around trick-or-treating on Halloween night, my favorite houses are always the over-the-top ones with tons of decorations. I have no idea why I love to see that style since I don’t do it myself. Generally, I’m a minimalist when it comes to decorating–a collection of pumpkins and some jeweled colored chrysanthemums in urns makes me happy. The only other decoration I use is the Halloween vinyl stickers I designed for our front door. Last year’s design was The Headless Horseman, and this years design is the witch. I can’t wait to put them up!
How do you decorate your porch for Halloween? I’m posting some pictures of looks that I love. Also, if you’re looking for urns for your chrysanthemums (or any other plants), I’ve found some great ones that you can shop in the widget below. Happy decorating for Halloween!
