Antique Brass Candelabra
I’m always on the hunt for beautiful and unique products for my home. I’m sure it’s the designer in me, but if I can’t find what I’m looking for, I end up designing what I want. Because of my Danish heritage, I especially love the simplicity and minimalism of Scandinavian design. I recently saw a Scandinavian-type candelabra that I fell in love with but couldn’t find here in the US. Since I’ve been working with a local metal smith on my brass wreaths, I asked him if he could make me an antique brass candelabra as well. Luckily, he’s super talented and interested in trying new things, so he said he would do it.
Holidays And Other Special Occasions
The candelabra I was originally inspired by was only 5″ in diameter and held mini candles, but I wanted a larger one to be the centerpiece for my dining table. I also wanted it to hold traditional taper candles. With both of us working out the drawings and details, I think we’ve come up with a beautiful simple design for a candelabra. Using 1/2″ round bar and measuring 12″ in diameter, it’s quite heavy and sturdy but functional and lovely as well. I’m going to list it in my Creating Home Holiday Shop, but I won’t carry any stock. Instead, it will be a made-to-order piece that can be customized to whatever dimensions you’d like. If you’re interested in one for yourself, just message me. I can’t wait to use mine during the holiday season!
