Thanksgiving Centerpiece Challenge
Are you looking for a way to be creative this Thanksgiving to make your holiday more meaningful? I thought it would be fun to challenge all of my Creating Home readers to create a Thanksgiving centerpiece for the holiday table using what’s around the house. I know we can all go out and buy something, but I love the idea of expressing creativity in a personal handmade way. If you want to get children involved, that’s great as well. Let’s see how many unique centerpieces everyone can create and post them for us all to enjoy. The Thanksgiving Centerpiece Challenge is a first for Creating Home, and I hope you’ll be able to participate!
I don’t want you to get stressed out and think your project has to look like a Martha Stewart production or anything. Just have fun and do something you like. The hardest part is going to be using what you already have. Of course you can scavenge your yard and nature–just don’t feel like you have to go out and buy anything! I plan on participating as well and am looking around my house right now thinking about what I can use. Some potential ideas include candles, leaves, pinecones, acorns, pumpkins, fruits, vegetables, feathers, and anything else you can think of! Let’s plan on sharing our centerpieces on Tuesday, November 21. That gives everyone two weeks.
What do you think? Do you want to participate?!? For the most creative centerpiece, I’ll award the winner with a set of the new Creating Home Christmas dish towels! Good luck!
