Christmas Gingerbread Cake
Gingerbread is the smell of Christmas to me. The yummy combination of molasses, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger immediately lifts my spirit and puts me in a Christmas mood! What’s so great about this Christmas gingerbread cake is that it’s easy to make and decorate, plus it tastes delicious! If you’re looking for a dessert for your holiday meal or a gift for someone special, try this tempting goody…you’ll be so glad you did!
For the gingerbread cake, I used Allrecipe’s instructions and frosted it with buttercream. I really love the look of naked cakes so I made sure to frost it lightly so parts of the cake shows through. For the decoration, I used sprigs of rosemary to represent pine trees, and I surrounded the cake stand with my favorite greenery, boxwood. Red berries finish off the Christmas look. This beautiful gingerbread tastes delicious and is pretty enough to display for holiday gatherings.
