The More You Use Creativity, The More You Have
Some friends of ours recently asked me for some design help remodeling their master bathroom. It’s been a fun project to work on, especially since I’ve taken a few months off from doing any interior design projects. It’s been so rewarding to use my skills again because I’d forgotten how much I love interior design and the challenges it brings. I consider myself a fairly creative person, but I’ve been using my creativity in other ways lately. The good thing about it is that there are so many ways to express it. The more you use creativity, the more you have.
I was recently asked to take an advanced insights profile assessment. It’s an index that measures how you think and make decisions. It also measures your motivational style. Basically, it assesses the natural talents you have; why you’re motivated to use them; and how you prefer to use them. It’s quite fascinating, really. I had to laugh when I got my results because it showed I’m highly artistic and aesthetic (over 90%) and very low on theory (less than 10%). I guess that means I’ll never be a college professor!
Creatives In Business
Personality tests and assessments are so helpful in knowing which career to choose. Not only is it important to know how you see the world, but it’s also important to know how the world sees you. If you’re interested in learning more about creativity in business, you should check out my e-book, Ten Easy Steps To Start Your Own Business. There’s a big section on personality tests and how they relate to the career you should choose.
Have a great day!
