I’ve always loved butterflies and have been so inspired by them. When I was in my freshman year of design school, I had something called a biomimicry project to do. Biomimicry is when you look to nature to solve design problems. For this particular assignment, I studied the reflective properties of butterfly wings to design columns for a Las Vegas hotel. Even though I ended up going in a different direction for that project, butterflies are still one of my favorite things in nature. Their bright colorful wings and appearance in Spring inspired the March calendar that you see above. Please feel free to pin it or print it for personal use.
With the beginning of March tomorrow, Spring is not far behind–warm sunny days, blooming flowers, and open windows for fresh air! Don’t miss out on Creating Home’s new Homemaker’s Guide to Spring that you can get here as well as Wilma Magazine’s March issue here. Finally, if you missed out on the January and February calendar, you can find them here and here.
Have a great day!
