Vintage Obsession

I think I might have a problem.  Remember last week when I mentioned that my Mom and I went through her cedar chest?  Not too many people would get excited about that, but I felt like each item she pulled out was a treasure that I wanted.  I openly admit that I have a vintage obsession.  If it’s any kind of textile that has been embroidered, I want it!  My mom let me borrow a couple of things, but one of the things I really loved was a vintage apron with pale blue ricrac on it.

The Home Fits The Occupant

In my farmhouse, there’s a small narrow hallway that leads to the kitchen.  I have a couple hooks there that I like to hang my favorite aprons.  In any other house, that might not work, but maybe that’s why I love this house so much.  It’s the perfect home for my inner 1940’s housewife.  Every time I pass the aprons on the way to the kitchen, they make me smile!  Because I love vintage textiles, and especially aprons so much, I incorporated the apron into my logo for Hire A Homemaker.
