Pay It Forward
It’s easy to get caught up in our own lives and not concern ourselves with other people. We’ve all been guilty of it, but everyone needs help at some point. I recently heard there’s an official date to encourage kindness by helping others. The last Thursday in April is known as the international day to “Pay it Forward.” The holiday encourages the sharing of goodwill. The idea behind it is that if someone is kind to you, you’ll be kind to someone else.
A Good Example
Spreading kindness can certainly be something we can all do, regardless of a holiday. It’s simply remembering that everyone deserves respect, kindness, and goodwill. Andy is always a good example of someone who pays it forward. I’ve seen him help others over and over again. Just recently he helped a couple he didn’t know who was having car problems. He helped them with their JEEP, and in return they gave him a bottle of their homemade apple cinnamon moonshine. Obviously he didn’t do it for any reward, but the token of thanks was appreciated.
How do you pay it forward? I’d love to hear some examples of what you’ve done for others, or if you’ve been on the receiving end of an act of kindness.
As always, thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!
