Over the weekend, we had a new family milestone–the 18th birthday and high school graduation of our youngest daughter, Rachel. That means we are officially empty nesters! It feels so strange knowing that all our kids are of legal age now and are off to live their own lives. I’m sure it will take some time to get used to (not having kids live at home anymore), but we’re excited to see where their new lives take them. If any of you are in a similar situation, I’d love to hear how you’re handling it. It was quite an emotional weekend….
There’s a part of me as a proud mom that wants to post pictures and share all the fun details of the weekend, but I also want to respect my children’s right to privacy so I won’t. Instead, I’ll just share the pictures of the bunting I made for the occasion. I posted about this bunting a few weeks ago and managed to finish it the night before graduation. In July’s issue of Wilma magazine, I have instructions on how to make bunting if you’d like to make your own!
Now that we’re entering a new phase in life, I feel like there’s a whole new world ahead–I just don’t know where to go or what to do. If I seem a little lost, you’ll understand why.
Thanks for being a friend and supporter of mine and specifically Creating Home! It means the world to me.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!
