One Step Closer
Last week Andy was out of town all week for the mine expo in Elko, Nevada. When he’s gone, I tend to work nonstop from 7 AM to 10 PM. I’m the first to admit it’s not very healthy, but when it’s just me at home, I try and get as much done as I can. It’s always good when Andy’s home because he brings a balance to my life that I wouldn’t have if I were alone all the time. Over the weekend, Andy and I decided to take a drive up into the mountains to look for land for our future home. We don’t know if we’ll eventually build or buy, but we figure we’re one step closer if we educate ourselves and see what’s available. I’ve always heard that anytime you have a big insurmountable goal, the way to make it happen is just one step at a time constantly moving forward.
A few of our “must haves” for our future mountain cabin include being surrounded by pines (for me), and being near a lake (for Andy). We looked around the Strawberry reservoir area (about 2 hours from Bountiful and an hour from Park City). There’s a gated community that piqued our interest, but the code is for residents only so we didn’t get to check it out. Can you see the cabin in the picture below? That’s the area we’re curious about. It definitely has potential. Since we won’t be moving for a few more years, we’ve got lots of time to find the perfect spot. In the meantime, we’re having fun exploring beautiful Utah and dreaming of our future mountain home.
As always, thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!
