I spent some time at my parents’ house this week. They have a seven acre country estate in Cache Valley, Utah that’s so beautiful! I was helping them de-clutter and go through some of their stuff that they want to get rid of. Every time I go up there, it’s so relaxing and peaceful. It’s such a contrast to living in the city like I do, and it makes me realize how much I want that life. The older I get, the more that slow life appeals to me.
On weekend mornings, Andy and I like to sit out on our back porch and have breakfast. Because we live right across the street from the hospital, we listen to lots of sirens, helicopters, and barking dogs scared of the sirens. It’s definitely not the peaceful relaxing lifestyle we want, but we’ll get there someday! The May issue of Wilma Magazine is entirely about life in the country (and features more of my parents’ home), so if you’d like to see more, you can get the issue.
As always, thanks for stopping by!
Have a great weekend!
