Importance of Families
A few weeks ago, my whole family got together for the day so we took this picture. With seven of us living all across the country, that’s not an easy thing to do. What complicates things even more is active busy families and jobs. I feel grateful that we at least had this day together. If there’s anything I’ve learned from having a large family, it’s that we have some similarities, but we’re all different. I remember my previous employer said to me once that we are given families to learn. I feel so fortunate to understand the importance of families and am grateful for the love and support we provide each other.
We’re coming up on my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. They’ve been such a great example of a couple who loved each other; worked together; supported each other; and raised a family together. I hope to be like them some day!
Family is really important to me, and I’ve always been fascinated about my families’ history and genealogy. I just ordered the 23 and Me DNA genetic testing to learn more about where my family comes from, and I’m so excited about it! Have you done that before? If you have, let me know. I’m so curious about it.
As always, thanks for stopping by!
Have a great weekend!
