Every few months, I like to evaluate all the demands on my time and decide if they’re still worth doing or not. I like to call it streamlining my life. Do you ever do that? Some of the demands are necessary and some of them aren’t. For the past few years I’ve tried lots of different things professionally that have been fun and rewarding, but at the same time, they’ve taken up a lot of time. There’s a constant push and pull of wanting to try new things, but also wanting to have a balanced life with family and personal interests. I’m sure you’ve experienced the same thing in your own life.
The older I get, the more I realize that life is about choices. We all have the choice of how we use our time and live our life. We can decide what’s important and what/who we want to make time for. I’m not making a big announcement or anything, just evaluating some things in own my life. Andy and I find ourselves at a cross roads in life right now, and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead. I posted about some of the big personal projects that I’m going to be tackling (here and here), and it’s nice to get back to personal goals again.
If you have any ideas or thoughts on this, I’d love to hear about them!
As always, thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!
