This week has been really busy with the Model Home installation in Day Break, Utah. My team and I have completely furnished and accessorized this new model for Rainey Homes. Because it’s located on a lake, I used birds, water, and Autumn texture for the design concept for this particular home and it turned out amazing! As soon as the professional pictures are available, I’ll share them with you.
One of the things that I love about this home is the open shelving in the kitchen. I know there are lots of mixed feelings about open shelving, especially as a substitute for upper cabinets. But I think it’s a great way to personalize a home. As much as we all need and love cabinetry to hide daily household items, sometimes it’s fun to see them as well.
I especially love to use and specify products that are from companies who espouse good values. Joanna Gaines’ new Hearth and Hand line has some really fun products that have worked well for accessorizing the open shelves in this kitchen. They’re simple, vintage-looking (my favorite), and provide great texture. What’s even better is that not only are her products well-designed and fun, but her personal and professional philosophy is so down-to-earth and something we can all relate to. I found the quote featured on the image above and thought it would be perfect for today’s blog post because we all need that motto in our lives.
On the widget below, you’ll also find some of the fabulous accessories that I used in the model home if you’re looking for ways to accessorize your own home. The little creamer is my favorite!
As always, thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!
