The holidays are a wonderful time to share our ourselves with others. Whether that means using our talents, offering our services, or just being there for a loved one, it’s a great time for gifting. The Second Day of Christmas features homemade gifts from the heart.
I’ve said it many times before, but homemade gifts are my favorite. I’ll admit I haven’t always been that way, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to appreciate them more. My Mom and Andy’s Mom are perfect examples of homemade gift-givers. The cute little Christmas stitchery’s are made by my Mom, and the delicious candy-coated popcorn balls are made by Andy’s Mom.
The jars of jam come from The Turnaround House orchard this year and will be gifted to our neighbors as a yearly tradition. I just added a fabric top, black velvet ribbon, and a small pine bough to make them more festive.
These are just some examples of gift ideas for the holidays. There are so many ways to make gifts more meaningful and personal. All you have to do is use your particular gifts and talents, and you’ve already got a personal gift from you.
I’d love to hear what you’re gifting this year!
