Lately I’ve been looking at Thanksgiving tablescape ideas for inspiration for my own table. As I’ve been collecting images and analyzing them to figure out what I want to do, I realized that I really like the tables that have fresh flowers as a centerpiece, candles, and large linen napkins folded beneath the plate.
I will order the floral centerpiece closer to the day of the actual holiday, but util then, I’ve been making other preparations. I’ve made the menu, place cards and grocery lists of everything I need to purchase for my pantry. I’m also going through my inventory of my dishes and serving pieces to see what I have and what I still need.
Thanksgiving is such a simple holiday, yet it is very gratifying to plan for it. It’s not about “stuff,” so much as it is about setting a pretty table and being grateful for everything and everyone in your life.
Waiting On Martha
This year’s inspiration comes from the website “Waiting on Martha” that you can find here.
