Summer Flower Garden
When I was a teenager and we had just moved to Houston, I remember asking my parents if I could have a small garden plot to grow some flowers. I don’t know how much say I had in the types of flowers I planted, but I remember being quite proud of it after everything was in the ground. Like most kids, however, I soon lost interest in it and stopped taking care of it which left my dad to tend it.
I’ve always loved flowers, though, and am so excited about planting our garden of flowers at The Turnaround House. Now that I’m older and more responsible, I think I’ll be better about taking care of it.
I’ve compiled some of my favorite summer flowers here. The Farmer’s Almanac is a great resource that has all the information you will need in deciding what flowers to plant in varying climates if you are looking for advice.
