Ancestral Portraits In Your Home

I have a sister who is an artist, and she recently completed four oil paintings for my parents–one of each of our grandparents.  I’m in the process of trying to get Giclée copies of them so I can hang them in my own home.  I’ve been seeing more and more portraits hanging in homes, and I love it!

You don’t have to hang portraits of your family members–lots of people just find old portraits from estate sales or in antique shops.  I think it makes a home look more collected rather than decorated to have portraits like these hanging.  It gives more depth and meaning to homes and shows an appreciation for history.
