How To Embrace Winter
Winter can be such a challenging time, especially after the holidays are over. When all the lights and decorations have been taken down and the never ending short dark days are looming, it’s easy to feel let down. Where I live in northern Utah, we get an effect called the inversion where the sun doesn’t shine for days. It’s an especially dreary time. I’ve realized how to embrace winter after the holiday months. It just means enjoying what each season has to offer.
One of the best ways to embrace the season is by being active. Luckily we live very close to the mountains so Aries and I can go on winter hikes. He absolutely loves the snow, so it’s always a fun adventure. What kind of winter activities do they have where you live? Try and find something to do outside and it will help you feel better about the season. Some Winter activities you can do include skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, or sledding. Just get outside and be active.
