When I was growing up, my mom made Easter dresses for all four of us girls. Some years she would buy them, but I remember the ones she made the most. I don’t know how she had time to make so many dresses when she had five kids. Knowing how much she sacrificed makes me appreciate her even more. Every year we would have a family picture taken on front porch in our new Easter dresses holding our Easter baskets. I’ve tried to continue the traditions with my own kids and get them a new dress every Spring. For some reason, having an Easter dress seems special.
I know Easter dresses are just one small part of the holiday. A lot traditions center around families attending church, Easter egg hunts, and family dinner. It’s a wonderful time for families to be together and celebrate Spring’s arrival. I would love to hear about any Easter traditions that you have in your family!
