We’ve had such a mild Winter this year in northern Utah. The only snow we’ve had was a little bit on Christmas Eve until Sunday and Monday when we got about a foot. These things always happen when Andy is out of town, of course! Luckily I have some good neighbors who snow blowed our sidewalks and driveway for me. I must admit I appreciate a good snow day like this since I’m working from home. As Andy left town yesterday morning, he said there were 28 cars off the road between Ogden and Toole. I’m so glad my days of commuting to work are over!
Because our old house is small, I don’t work from a home office, but instead use our dining room. There’s a window in front of me and next to me that I can look out while I work. Yesterday I sat inside our cozy house while it snowed all day. There was a fire in the fireplace, soup simmering all afternoon, and the smell of bread baking. I felt exactly like Mole from The Wind in the Willows (Sterling Illustrated Classics)enjoying my comforts of home. Since I was researching and studying woodland creatures for a project most of the day, it was actually perfect!
I’m sharing some pictures of the beautiful snow fall below.
Have a great day!
