Mountain Home Design
In any spare moment I can find, I’ve been trying to work on our mountain home design. I must admit it’s a little intimidating trying to anticipate all our needs and wants for the rest of our lives and incorporate them into the design. I think both of us are hoping this little mountain home will be our “forever” home, so it’s got to be functional, beautiful, and lasting. Pretty easy, right? It’s a fun challenge, and I’m enjoying the learning process because it’s new to me.
The problem is that I don’t know if we’ll end up buying something already built, or if we’ll end up building. I think we’d both like to build so we can tailor the home to our family, but I’m trying to be prepared for either scenario. In the meantime, I’m poring over inspirational images trying to determine what I want it to look like. Andy and I sat down and made a list of “needs” and “wants,” so I’m trying to add in as many as I can while keeping the house around 2,000 square feet. It’s definitely going to be inspired by Swiss Chalets because we fell in love with those houses while we visited Switzerland.
Have you ever thought about a forever home and what you’d like to include? If so, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
As always, thanks for stopping by!
Have a great weekend!
