I’m a big candle lover and burn candles constantly from September to April. It must be my Danish ancestry because I’m always trying to make our home more cozy in the Winter, and candles are one of the easiest ways. While Andy was out of town last week, I started burning our last pumpkin spice candle. Immediately when Andy got back, the first thing he said was, “Our home smells like Halloween.”
I don’t normally burn that scent of candle during Winter. I like to burn Pumpkin Spice during the Fall months and Balsam during the Winter months. I must have miscounted my stock, though, because I have an extra Fall candle and am short a Winter candle. Since Winter is hanging on here in Utah, I decided to just burn my last Fall candle.
It’s so weird to be smelling pumpkin spice right now because we both associate it with Halloween. And when we look outside our windows and see the snow, it’s very confusing. Next year, I’ve got to be better about my stock….hahaha!
We’re also running out of firewood before we’re ready. Because it’s been a long and cold Winter, we only have about a week before our firewood stack runs out. In the four years we’ve lived at The Turnaround House, this is the first time we’ve ever run out of firewood before the weather changes. Either we misjudged out stock of supplies, or this has been a really rough season. Hurry up and get here, Spring!
As always, thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!
