Vintage Clothespin Bag

intage Clothespin Bag

Everyday chores can be tedious, but sometimes all it takes to make it more enjoyable is a new spin on an everyday item. I found the cutest vintage clothespin bag in the shape of an old-fashioned woman’s girdle. As soon as I saw it, it made me laugh and smile at the same time. Whoever thought of it was very clever and had a great sense of humor!

Even though the weather isn’t quite cooperating for hanging laundry outside to dry, I’m going to look forward to using my new vintage clothespin bag! In the past, I’ve always used my apron pocket to hold clothespins, but this will make a fun alternative!

Erma Bombeck, who used humor to describe suburban homelife in her newspaper columns, “At Wit’s End,” would have appreciated something like this. One of my favorite quotes by her is: “Today’s housekeeping tip: Always keep several get well cards on the mantel. That way, if unexpected guests arrive, they’ll think you’ve been sick and unable to clean!” Brilliant! Every time I use this girdle clothespin bag, I’m going to think of Erma and her hilarious observations on homemaking!
