Now that my kids are older and out of the house, my need for traditional Easter baskets isn’t the same anymore. As much as I love to decorate for the holiday, I want a more natural and organic way to celebrate Easter and the arrival of Spring. I found these French wire Easter baskets work great for displaying eggs during the season.
I used green moss to cushion the eggs, and left the color of the eggs white. Dyed Easter eggs would look just as pretty in the wire baskets, though. Or, if you have chickens, the pale colors of the fresh eggs would look especially lovely. The bunny dish towel was given to me by my Mom. I love the soft muted color of it and how it contrasts nicely with the French wire basket!
As I was thinking of ways to decorate for the holiday, I remembered the quote I read by S.D. Gordon that inspired this vignette. He said, “Easter spells out beauty, the rare beauty of new life.” Eggs definitely symbolize new life, especially at this time of year. What’s so great about this decoration is that it’s simple, subtle, and very easy to do!
How do you decorate for Easter?
As always, thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!
