Back To Nature

At the end of last Summer, Andy and I found a piece of land that we fell in love with. It’s two acres in the mountains about 15 minutes from Park City. It’s beautiful, quiet, peaceful, and will give us a whole new lifestyle. We’ve spent the last year contemplating this change–thinking, planning, and dreaming of moving. We’ve decided to leave the city and go back to nature to live.

This week we made an offer on the land, and yesterday they accepted! Tomorrow we’re meeting with our realtor to put our little farmhouse on the market and sell it. We’ll be moving this Summer! We’re still trying to get all the details sorted out, but we’re both ready and excited for the change! We bought this little farmhouse exactly four years ago when I was communing to Salt Lake City for work. It’s been a great little home and has served us well, but it’s time to go. Now that I work from home, we can live anywhere. It’s been a dream for both of us to live away from the noise, pollution, and crowds to live a simple quiet life in nature.

Once we get the land, we’ll build the house that I designed. Fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly! By the way, some of these pictures were taken last weekend, and the others over the last 9 months. We were pleasantly surprised to see most of the snow gone, but now it’s the season of mud. At least everything is starting to turn green and bloom! It’s a little piece of heaven on earth!

  1. I am so glad for you both. The CHALLENGES are different but the satisfaction is greater than in the city. I would like to visit some time to either help or to unwind. David Bybee
