Does your running list of projects that you want to complete keep growing? I feel like as soon as I finish one, I’ve already got a few more that I want to add! You may remember the Winter cross stitch project I made for our mountain house. I’m now working on a companion cross stitch project piece to go with it called Spring Dance.
When I was designing our house, I did interior elevations of all the walls so I know exactly where everything is going. It’s actually the best part of building a home because it’s really helpful for hanging artwork! In our gathering room (great room), I’ve got places for two similar-sized pieces of art to hang. Because I want almost everything to be hand-made in our home, I’m cross-stitching these two pieces of art. I want them to be similar sizes and similar designs. You can see the elevation below of where I want to hang the two pieces (below the library lights).
For framing, I use a great little mom and pop store in Logan, Utah. My goal is to finish this project before we move so they can frame it with the same frame as the original piece. Right now, Logan is 90 minutes away, but when we move, that time could double. Needless to say, I’m working fast and madly cross-stitching to finish it before we move!
As always, thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!
