Great news! My good friend Bryan finished all the construction documents for our future home, and we’re very excited! We’ve gone back and forth tweaking some little things over the last month, but the majority of it is done. I’m attaching the CAD front elevation of Axeholme so you can see what it’s going to look like. From the very beginning, both Andy and I agreed that we wanted something small and simple where nature is the focus. Since it’s just the two of us, we decided we just don’t need anything big or fancy to live in the mountains.
I shared in a previous blog post how the front of our house will be towards a mountain face. Bryan designed a wide front porch where we can sit outside and enjoy the views! For the exterior, we want a stained heavy board siding with a standing seam metal roof and a stone fireplace.
We’re at the stage now where it’s ready to go to engineering. Since our current house hasn’t sold yet, we’ve put that on hold until that’s done. Hopefully that won’t be too much longer. I’m also sharing a picture taken from Tollgate Canyon of a cabin that has siding similar to what we want.
Until next time, thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!
