I hope you had a great Fourth of July holiday! As you may have noticed, I took a little break from the blog the last couple of weeks. It’s been very busy with my whole family being in town as well as home showings, and other projects. Something had to give, and in this case, it was the blog! I don’t mind admitting that I’m feeling in limbo right now playing the waiting game.
I feel like the clock is ticking by and Summer will be half over soon. Andy and I were hoping to be out of our house by the end of Summer, but so far it’s not looking like that. The feedback we’ve gotten from our home showings have mostly been really positive. But because it’s such a unique older farmhouse, most people panic at the idea of not having a master bathroom or a garage. I realize it isn’t for everyone, but we were hoping some of its other attributes would outweigh those things. I know it will sell eventually–I guess I’m just not very good at waiting.
While my entire family was in town, we were able to take them to see our land. Looking at the pictures, I’m amazed at how overgrown it looks. Because we started looking at it last Autumn, we didn’t see it when it was thriving in the Summer. A lot of it will have to be cleared out to build our house. We love it so much, and are so excited about our future there!
As always, thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!
PS Don’t mind my brother–he always gets this way when he has to take pictures with all of his sisters!!
