One of the new products launching on September 16 is Birdie’s Hallowe’en Ghost Silhouette Art. It’s a ghostly display printed on glass in black ink and encased in a floating frame. The scene features a haunted house complete with a black cat atop the metal fence surrounded by spooky trees and a moon looking down on it. As the scene progresses, we come across more barren trees, a flock of birds, jack-o-lanterns, and our first ghostly specter. Next comes the funeral procession with a morbid horse-draw-carriage and the presence of our three “Ghost Hosts,” as featured in Birdie’s Hallowe’en Decorating & Entertaining Guide. The final scene of the Silhouette Art is a lonely cemetery at the top of the hill with a gate to welcome all the new ghostly inhabitants!
The Ghost Silhouette Art is inspired by the German art Scherenschnitte (which means “scissor cuts,” or “paper cutting design”). This craft was brought to Colonial America by Swiss and German immigrants in the 18th Century who settled in Pennsylvania. Just as in traditional Scherenschnitte, all the black lines connect in some way. This product was designed specifically for Birdie’s Hallowe’en Decorating & Entertaining Guide 2019 to go along with the ghost theme. Because of the unique nature of this product, only limited quantities are available to purchase. Mark your calendars because doors open on September 16! This product won’t be offered again after the doors close this year.
While you’re waiting for the doors to open, you can reserve your copy of the Hallowe’en Guide below before they sell out.
