A couple of years ago, Andy bought a used hot tub on KSL. We never got the chance to use it at The Turnaround House, so after we got moved in and settled up here, Andy set it up. Most nights before bed, we get in the hot tub to look at the stars. As you can imagine, star gazing under a mountains sky is so much different and better than in the city.
Because it’s so dark at night up here (we don’t have any kind of street lights), the moon and stars are so bright! It’s almost like we live in a different world because everything is so magnified. My sight, smell, and hearing seem so much more heightened up here. I’ve heard that the energy up on the mountain is more overwhelming, and it definitely seems true true. I know some people experience energetic rushes from it.
When we’re sitting in the hot tub at night, we like to count how many shooting stars and satellites we see. This particular night, a mountain storm happened to be rolling in. The clouds were really low and moving fast because the wind was blowing. It was such a unique sensation being in 102 degree water when the temperature outside was in the low-40s and a storm was coming in fast! Andy took these incredible pictures of darkness descending and the stars peeking out between the storm clouds.
Until next time, thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!
