We finally left the mountain to go to one of our favorite haunted houses in Salt Lake City, Nightmare on 13th. Now that we live farther away from everything, it makes it more work to go to the places that used to be so close to us. When we lived in Bountiful, it was so easy to go to Frightmares at Lagoon every weekend, and go to our favorite haunted houses multiple times. With the weather already so cold and distance another factor of living in the mountains, it’s definitely more challenging.
Andy had the great idea to eat at one of our favorite restaurants, The Melting Pot, before we went to the haunted house. It was so fun to have a night out! We know we’re weird for loving Hallowe’en so much, but we can’t help it. We love this time of year! This month has already gone by so fast, and it makes me sad. I wait all year for October to arrive, and then it’s gone so quickly.
Tell me about some things you do to celebrate this holiday. Do you love scary things like haunted houses, or do you prefer the lighter side of Hallowe’en? Just like scary movies, I have a love/hate relationship with haunted houses. I really am scared going through them, but at the same time I love them. I always make Andy go first, and I hide behind his 6’5″ frame so he gets the brunt of surprises. Somehow over the last four years, we’ve managed to be first in line every time for this haunted house. This year, nobody caught up with us so we went through the whole haunted house alone with no one else behind us….it was crazy scary!
Two more days until Hallowe’en!!
As always, thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!
