My three sisters came into town over the weekend for a mini family reunion. We’re all spread out in the U.S. with one sister living in North Carolina; another sister living in Indiana; and another sister living in Oregon. Only my brother and I live here in Utah along with my parents. Since my parents are in the process of selling their home and moving, my sisters flew in to help them pack. My dad’s been having some health problems, so he reluctantly agreed to some help.
My parents have been living on a seven acre horse farm in Wellsville (right outside of Logan in northern Utah). They recently decided that the house and land are too much to take care of so they’ve decided to sell. It’s been a challenging time for my family, especially my parents, because this was their dream home during retirement. They’ve lived in this home that they designed and built for the last decade, but realized it’s time to get something smaller and more manageable.
It was fun for everyone to get together one last time in the family home. Along with packing, there were family dinners, movie watching, and lots of giggling. I’m so grateful to have such a wonderful family. Even though we all have trials and live far away from each other, we’re always there for one another.
Until next time, thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!
