A few months ago I posted about the color palette I want to use at our new mountain house. The color inspiration comes from a boudoir pillow my mom made for me a few years ago. It’s very pretty and has various shades of blueish-green, cream, light tans, and gray in it. I’ve decided to use those same colors and embroider a tablecloth I’ve had for years. When it’s finished, we can use it in our new home as well.
The problem with the tablecloth is that it was stamped when tablecloths were a lot smaller than they are for today’s homes. For the past little while I’ve been thinking about what I can do about it, and I decided to transfer the pattern to a larger linen tablecloth I just got from Williams Sonoma. So far I’ve got the patterned tablecloth pinned to the linen tablecloth. I just need to trace the pattern and decide which color of thread will be used for all the individual flowers and stems. Then I’ll be able to start stitching. It will be a lot of work to trace it, but in the end it will be worth it!
Wish me luck!
Until next time, thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!
