Connection To The Outside World

Connection To The Outside World

For some reason, we’ve been without WiFi for the last few days.  I’ve been having to turn my phone into a hotspot so I can get online and do some work.  As you can imagine, that’s used all the data for the month very quickly!  I never realized how much I depend on WiFi throughout my day.  I think I’ve mentioned how I never really feel isolated living up here, but it’s been challenging the last few days not having any connection to the outside world!

I’m not even sure why it goes out.  We can be having a blizzard and it works fine, and on clear days it can stop working.  It’s very frustrating and always seems to happen when Andy is out of town.  Today is day three of it not working, and I’m trying to not let it bother me too much.  It’s eventually got to come back on, right?

At night I usually watch Netflix and cross-stitch, but obviously Netflix isn’t working right now because the WiFi isn’t.  Luckily we’ve got a hard-drive full of movies that Andy has downloaded.  Last night I watched an old classic from 1963 that my Dad loves called It’s A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.  I haven’t seen it since I was a kid, so it was fun to watch again.

I’m trying to keep busy as I play the waiting game.  By the way, the cross-stitched cat is for an Autumn project I’m working on.  I have to make three of the cats, and I’m also working on an owl and a pumpkin (three of each of those as well).  It’s nice to have projects to work on!

I hope your week is going well!

  1. I know it is aggravating, being without the internet- but it seems like it would be a cozy way to regroup your thoughts.
Love seeing your plans for the future!

    1. Thanks, Lindy! I believe everything happens for a reason, and you’re exactly correct. As addicting as it is to know what’s going on in the outside world, it’s also a relief to have a break from it! XO
