Winter Storm

Winter Storm

The last few days we’ve had quite a Winter storm up here in the mountains.  We’re supposed to get 24″ by tomorrow, and this has been going on for several days now.  One day last week, we noticed that the bathroom ceiling is starting to come down in the rental cabin.  I think it’s caused by a build-up of snow and ice on the roof that’s seeping in somewhere.  The build-up of water is causing the ceiling to come undone in one seam.  I have no idea how that even gets fixed or what it entails, but I just hope it doesn’t get worse.

Andy is out of town for the week for work, and I plan on staying home-bound because of all the snow we’re supposed to be getting this week.  As usual, it’s going to be very quiet with just the dog, the cat, and me.  My daily routine is pretty consistent.  I spend most of my day standing at my laptop desk working and watching the snow fall out the window.  When I need a break, I go out and shovel the snow off the decks.  Yesterday I shoveled the front and back decks twice!  The freezer is full of leftovers from all of Andy’s cooking, so at the end of the day, I enjoy my evenings cross-stitching and reading.

I know a lot of people wouldn’t enjoy this life very much, but it’s exactly what I want!  It’s isolated, quiet, peaceful, simple, and rejuvenating for me.  Thank you for letting me share a little slice of my world with you!

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Have a great day!
