Moving Again

Moving Again

We just found out that the owner of our rental cabin is going to be selling it.  In fact, she already has people lined up to come and see it this week.  I guess she’s going to sell it “as-is,” so it will be a fixer-upper for the new homeowners.  We’ve signed a contract until July 31, but she told us we’ll need to find another place to live after that because she anticipates it will sell quickly.  I guess that means we’ll be moving again.  Needless to say, that was not the news we wanted to hear.  We were hoping to be able to stay here until our own home was finished, but I guess we’ll have to come up with a new plan.  On top of the coronavirus fallout, we’ll now be homeless in 4-1/2 months.

With building prices so high up here and the fact that we haven’t started the building process yet, we anticipate we’ll need another rental home for approximately one year starting the end of July.  We posted in the Tollgate Facebook group asking if anyone has a small inexpensive cabin rental available.  We can’t imagine having to leave the mountain, but we might not have a choice.  All we can do is hope for the best.

I hope you are doing well amidst the chaos!

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Have a great day!

  1. So sorry to hear this. It has to be very frustrating. Hope you can find a place that will be affordable and that you can rent until you get your home built.
