To all my readers out there, I just want you to know that I’ve been thinking about you and hope you’re doing well in this quarantine. Last week was especially challenging for me, and I know these are challenging times for all of us. Andy recently suggested I take a break from my normal work week and just do something fun that I enjoy. I think he’s right and that we should all indulge in whatever makes us happy right now to get us through this difficult time. As states of emergency are declared and war-time enactments are occurring, we need to use whatever coping mechanisms we can to get through this time.
As weird as it sounds, what makes me happy and gets me excited is the next edition of Birdie’s Hallowe’en. As I’ve jumped into the new project, I find myself so absorbed in what I’m doing that I forget about the world for a while. Creativity is a form of therapy for me. If I’m listening to soothing calm music, I get lost in inspiration and ideas. And since I love Hallowe’en so much, it feeds my soul and makes me happy.
I hope you have something like that in your own life–whether that’s a particular hobby, interest, or past time. Each day try and do something you love that brings you joy! Once this time has passed, we might look back and see something good come out of it. Thank you for being a part of Creating Home. If you get a chance, drop me a line and let me know how you’re doing and what you’re doing to cope.
As always, thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!
