Moving Again

We just found out that the owner of our rental cabin is going to be selling it.  In fact, she already has people lined up to come and see it this week.  I guess she’s going to sell it “as-is,” so it will be a fixer-upper for the new homeowners.  We’ve signed a contract until July 31, but she told us we’ll need to find another place to live after that because she anticipates it will sell quickly.  I guess that means we’ll be moving again.  Needless to say, that was…

Humanity and Goodness

I’m not sure about where you live, but here in Utah, people are especially freaking out about the coronavirus.  Andy and I went to three different grocery stores this weekend (and one of them was twice) because they’re sold out of so much food.  On Sunday, we thought we’d get up really early and be there first thing in the morning.  Unbeknownst to us, the store changed their hours to give themselves more restocking time.  We waited about 45 minutes for the store to open.  Meanwhile, the parking lot completely…

It’s been the perfect family home for reunions, gatherings,…

It’s Happening Again

I cannot believe it’s happening again!  Last Thanksgiving we had a pack rat invade our rental cabin while we were out of town for the holiday.  Now we’ve got another one.  It’s déjà vu all over again.  About two days ago, we noticed the cat and dog sniffing more than usual in the kitchen.  There’s a hole in the kitchen floor under the fridge where the tile was left unfinished.  In fact there were a lot of holes in the walls and floors when we first moved in, but Andy…
