Reinventing My Life

Now that we’ve been living in the mountains for a few months and have gotten settled, I’m starting to notice some changes.  I guess it’s only natural to expect some emotional and mental shifts with such a drastic move.  Since we’ve literally removed ourselves from suburban life to live in nature instead, obviously priorities change and perceptions will shift.  Somebody recently commented to me that I’m reinventing my life…I guess that’s true! Generally I spend most days at the cabin that includes a daily walk with Aries.  When Andy’s in…

Christmas Comes Early To The Mountain

Moody Apothecary Hutch

Remember the blog post on the custom apothecary hutch I designed about a month ago?  I sent the design to my cabinet guy, and it turns out it was going to be very expensive to build, so I ended up going another route.  Instead, I purchased a ready-made cabinet and modified it to create a moody apothecary hutch that was more in line with my original design (at a fraction of the cost). I got the glass-door cabinet with three drawers from IKEA.  Andy put it together for me and…
