Moving Day One

Good morning from the mountains of Utah! We’re still in transition right now but survived moving day one. On Saturday, we came up to the rental cabin to get the key that the previous renter left. We were sad to discover that the cabin was filthy and would have to be cleaned before we could live here. Moving is always an adventure, and this one was no exception. Guess what? We sold our little farmhouse last week and are moving! Mountains, here we come! We don’t know much about the buyers, other than the fact that they like old houses as well. They looked at it for the first time on Friday night, and we agreed on the contract Tuesday night. Closing date is September 3. Everything’s happening so fast, but we feel ready because we’ve been waiting so long! We found a cabin to rent in Tollgate Canyon (where we’ll be building our future home). The rent…

Ruthlessly Eliminate Hurry From Our Lives

I was listening to a webinar from my business mentor recently who told us that we need to ruthlessly eliminate hurry from our lives. The webinar was about designing your life. One way to do that is by figuring out “what’s enough” and letting the rest go. I’m not sure who said the quote originally, but I agree with it completely. I’ve noticed over the last few years as I’ve tried to course-correct my own life to simplify and slow down, how much better it is when I don’t have…
